In 2014, Thevit Church fasted and prayed for its country and people of Korea. During the 40 days of prayer, God gave a special calling: To establish our next generation on the word of God. He showed us that through the next generation engraved on the word of God, He will save the Korean church and the whole world. Led by the Holy Spirit, students were deeply touched by the fact that countless martyrs shed their blood to establish the Korean church. And eleven students resolved to follow God’s calling and started Thevit Christian School on March 2, 2015.

I believe that each of us called to this school
should fall to the ground and die as a kernel of wheat
so that we can bear many fruits.

Among the first eleven students, there were Japanese and Hong Kong students from Thevit Church in Hong Kong. Regardless of their different age, culture, and language, they shared the same vision of following the Word of God and devoting their lives to His kingdom. They practiced living and walking with the Lord every day, which led them to serve Thevit Church in Beijing in short mission trips.  Through this experience, they  were able to see how God establishes a church in close hand.

As the calling for missions to the next generation continued, God poured out the spirit of repentance to the students who had longed for the Holy Spirit. They beat their chests and confessed their sin of disobeying God in their lives. The prayer then moved onto intercessory prayer for other friends. In 2021, while students meditated on Exodus, they began to repent their hardened heart like the Pharaoh.

After days of repenting, students who had a heart for North Korea started acting out preaching the Gospel to North Korea, where Christianity is under severe persecution. We filmed this drama they made into a movie, A Drop of Water. It was awarded by several Christian film festivals in the U.S. The movie impressed many people worldwide because of our students’ confession that they want to be the kernel of wheat to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Still today, Thevit students seek God’s kingdom and righteousness before the word of God everyday. They are growing to carry out the mission of the gospel together to bring about the era of revival in the end times promised by God.
